Blog #13
🎄Merry Christmas🎄
As you can see by the photo we have added a new family member. Meet Theodore, aka, Teddy. He is a 10 week old, 5 lb., Shipoo. Thats 1/4 Shih Tzu, 3/4 Poodle. (Full-grown he should be 10-14 lbs)
He is absolutely adorable, which is a good thing because he is a lot of work. He's just a baby, so we take turns getting up every 2 hours to let him out of his crate to go potty. (tiny dog, tiny bladder) We have to watch him like a hawk, always. He doesnt understand the rules of the house yet.
The last part of December has been slow at the campground, which is nice because it gives us a break, and time with (training) Teddy. We had been told that the Campground was going to be 80% occupied for the Christmas weekend. But then the Polar express came barreling down from Canada to Georgia. We had cancellation after cancellation. There are 2 campers in our loop 1 this Christmas weekend. It was 16 degrees last night and windy. Our Arctic Fox 4 season camper lived up to its name and everything (no plumbing had frozen) worked this morning. Although, it's still freezing outside.
Ruth,(me) in our outdoor room/tent, working on the Blog. Its 20 degrees outside but Im warm and comfy. Theres a propane fire pit to my left.
Santa was camped at our campground for 2 weeks!! He had a gig at our campground on the Christmas trail, and at other neighboring venues.
These are our new Camp Hosting friends Kim and Ralph (Loop 2) and their sweet Schnauzer, Toby. Toby showed Teddy the ropes on how to play. It was really nice for Teddy to get some socialization with another dog. Very important. The Morgans have gone back home to Florida, and they are missed, all of them!
Merry Christmas from our home to yours
And a Happy New Year!
Happy Trails to You
Till we meet again
