And another Winter has gone by.

It was cold down here in Florida this winter, low 40's in the morning. We are not complaining though.  But many a morning we put on our puffy coats to walk Teddy, who has his own furry coat.  We even had frost on our window shield one morning.  Brrrrrr.  But by afternoon it would be in the 70's, and we would be peeling off the layers.

Lakeland, Florida is where all our doctors are.  Between Watson clinic and the VA, we are very well taken care of.  Its how we spent a lot of our leisure time. 😂 One of the younger ladies down here was commenting on her self-care, of going in regularly to have her manicures, pedicures, and facials.  I, Ruth, commented that our self care involved Colonoscopies, Mammograms, Eye exams, Bone density testing, Prostate surgeries and Lab work.  And by the way, Brians prostate surgery went very well.  He had an excellent surgeon, spent a couple of days in the Bartow hospital.  Came home and had light duty for awhile and now can proclaim,

"I can pee like a 12 year old."

I know, TMI.

Heres a photo of the Tug that Brian built to tow the F-14 Tomcat

We both worked around 24-30 hours a week.  Brian was ACE's welder fixing all manner of things, as well as working with the electricians.  Ruth, myself, was the receptionist upstairs in the corporate HQ, answering the phone and helping with various projects.  Like cutting out 1630 tickets for the Volunteer Tail Dragger Party.

I, Ruth, made a trip back to Portland at the end of February/March to see my family.  I stayed with Maryann, my sister-in-law. (Who beat my ass repeatedly at Mexican Train dominos)  It was nice to see family and a few friends.  Here are some photos I took.

Huge Flamingo sculpture, (looking underwater) in the Tampa airport.

It was clear all the way to the West coast.  I could see all the way down the continental divide.  Our planet is so beautiful!

Visiting Joyce at Emanuel Hospital

My sister Joyce contracted Covid and Influenza A and we almost lost her.  She is on a long journey back.  It was good to see her and also have a nice long visit with my brother Tim who is struggling with a cancer diagnosis.  I really felt the need to come home.

Oregon is so beautiful!  Out for a Spring walk with Maryann and Charlie. (Haley and Curtis's dog)

Speaking of Haley and Curtis

Heres their boy Clark whos going to be a big brother come May.

While I was in Portland my very special friend Bobbi had a Birthday!
Her kids, Joe and Ami, and grandkids, Ali, Kenzie and Jason gave her a Grand Birthday Luncheon.  It was so beautiful, the flowers, the food!  Even Elvis was there!

Her Granddaughter McKenzie came dressed as Darling. (Bobbi taught the Girlies to call her Darling, not Granny)
